WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE YOU STARTED WORKING FOR ACROSS THE POND?

I worked as a consultant for five years at Across the Pond’s sister company Canada Law From Abroad before also joining Across the Pond.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO STUDY IN THE UK?

After completing my bachelor’s degree, I was ready to study in a new country. For me, the UK was a no-brainer as the UK created the common legal system, which was important as Canada’s legal system is based on British common law.

WHY DO YOU LIKE WORKING FOR ACROSS THE POND?

Working with over forty partner universities in England, Wales and Scotland affords you the opportunity to learn about these three regions and what students can expect to experience when they go to the UK. As an advisor, I have been fortunate to visit several of our partners’ campuses, meet their staff and students, and share my own experience with future applicants.

WHY DO YOU THINK STUDENTS SHOULD CONSIDER STUDYING IN THE UK?

Studying and living abroad is a fantastic opportunity, especially in the UK, one I think everyone should experience if given the chance. You will receive an excellent education but you also get to meet people from all parts of the world and the life experience you gain is unrivaled.
