WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE YOU STARTED WORKING FOR ACROSS THE POND?

After working in both the education and international field helping students and refugees for a few years, I discovered Across the Pond and used their services to get my master’s degree overseas. Upon graduating, I became a part-time employee for Across the Pond and then a full-time student advisor!
 

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO STUDY IN THE UK?

I have always been interested in UK culture and history. As a history major, it was phenomenal to be able to physically visit the places I was learning about!
 

WHY DO YOU LIKE WORKING FOR ACROSS THE POND?

I love that I can help my students experience the same life-changing opportunity to live and study in a foreign country! Seeing my students live out their dreams of living overseas is so rewarding.
 

WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE FROM THE US SHOULD STUDY IN THE UK?

I think it’s important to immerse yourself in other cultures and get out of your comfort zone in order to grow as a person and discover more of who you are and what is possibilities are out there.
 

LIST ALL OF YOUR FAVOURITE THINGS ABOUT THE UK!

Too many things to fully list! A few are: easy public transportation, friendly people, pub culture, history is EVERYWHERE!, superb tea, crumpets, funky UK slang words, and so much more!!
