What did you do before you started working for Across the Pond?

I worked as an Admissions Advisor for a US university and realized I really liked helping students. I wanted to merge that with my love of travel, so I started looking into International Student Advisor roles, most of which needed a master’s degree. This led me to start looking at degrees abroad, and I actually used Across the Pond to apply to these programs. A couple years later, I started working for ATP and the rest is history! 

Why did you decide to study in the UK?

I have always had a huge love for London, and I also knew gaining a degree from the UK would hold weight in the US when it came to getting jobs. It was a no-brainer. 

Why do you like working for Across the Pond?

I help change student’s lives, and I love being a part of that. I also love nudging them past their fear into taking a leap towards a grand adventure. 

Why do you think people from the US should study in the UK? 

The idea of studying a full degree in a different country has not really been presented to Americans. I want them to know they can study abroad longer than just a semester, all while being able to use available funding to do so. We’re letting the secret out and getting more Americans abroad for a longer, more enriching experience. 

List all of your favourite things about the UK! 

So many things! The tube (it’s the best), very old buildings with sprawling ivy growing up the side, sticky toffee pudding, fantastic sayings (I will always love “Can’t be bothered”), pub culture, and the overall killer sense of humor only the Brits can pull off.
